The 186th Shuangqing Forum Convened in Hangzhou

18th to 19th September 2017, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) 186th Shuangqing forum convened successfully in Hangzhou. This forum is jointly hosted by the Policy Bureau, the Department of Information Science and the Department of Management Science, and organized by Zhejiang University. The forum is entitled "Connecting the Future: Education, Technology and Innovation".

 

The basic research of educational science plays a vital role in educational research. Strengthening the basic research of educational science is the fundamental need to promote the innovation of education. Aiming at the research in this important field, the forum has arranged 6 invited report and 41 special reports. Representatives combine with their own research work, focusing on cognition and learning, learning resources and knowledge production, digital learning environment, big data of education and other issues, to analyze and discuss in detail about related research situation, process, hot spots and trend at home and aboard and so on.




Chen Li, Vice president of Beijing Normal University, as one of presidents of this forum, attended the forum and delivered the keynote speech on science and technology: the endogenous driving force of educational reform. The theme is expounded in three aspects: the main innovation areas of science and technology promoting education reform, the basic proposition of Educational Science in the integration of science and education, the breakthrough of major propositions need the innovation of organization methods.



 

 

The conference summed up a series of issues in the field of educational science research in the basic law level, technical level, typical application level. Representatives made specific suggestions on how science fund should support the research of Education Science in the next 5 to 10 years. It is expected that the NSFC will play a greater role in top-level design and team organization to make scientists at home grasp this great opportunity, make a significant impact and original results, and ultimately to lead in the field of education and science research.
